GROUP HOME Supervisor Qualifications:
The
Group Home Manager must have a
Bachelor’s degree
from
a recognized and accredited college or
university and at least two years of
experience working with the severely and
persistently mentally ill in a residential
setting. In addition, he/she must
possess at least one year of supervisory
experience and a valid driver’s
license with no more that
two points. The Group Home Manager reports
directly to the Group Homes
Coordinator. Duties: The
Group Home Manager will be
responsible for supervising the residential staff
and ensuring that direct care
services be performed with residents.
The Group Home Manager will be responsible
for conducting his/her job in
conformity with the Policies and Procedures of the
GUIDE Independence Program,
as well as all relevant state and county
regulations, and all recognized

Rehabilitation Specialist will have a Master’s
Degree in a mental health field,
or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least one year of
experience in the psychiatric
rehabilitation field working with individuals
diagnosed with serious and
persistent mental illness. The Rehabilitation
Specialist will have excellent
oral and written communication skills and prior
experience designing treatment
plans and/or rehabilitation plans. He/she will
possess a valid driver’s license
with no more than two points. The
Rehabilitation Specialist reports directly to
the Program Director (Montgomery
County and to the PRP Director (Prince George’s
County). Duties: The
Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for
providing input for the Individual
Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs) for those consumers
assigned to him/her. The
Rehabilitation Specialist is also responsible
for the general areas of resident
entitlements, medication, monthly health care,
the IRP Progress Notes,
development of community resources, and client

SITE COORDINATOR / CASE MANAGER Youth Services
/Linkages to Learning Program: The
Linkages to Learning school-based Case
Manager/Site Coordinators, located in
upper Montgomery County, MD, provide
social services and case management as
well as psychoeducational and literacy
programming to families in area public
schools. Similarly, and in
collaboration with the Family Services
Agency, Inc., the YSCs’ school-based mental
health services provide diagnostic
assessment and treatment to at-risk
students and their families. Within
these school-based services, special
efforts are made to provide outreach and
advocacy-based services to those new to
this country. Most of the YSCs’ school
and community-based sites have
Spanish-speaking staff available for
youth or family members for whom English
is a second language. Qualifications: The
School-Based Case Manager will possess a
Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW)
or a related field. He/she must have
prior experience serving
parents/families in need (internship
experience considered). The individual
must have a team player attitude with
excellent collaboration skills. This
position requires the employee to have
reliable means of transportation. The
School-Based Case Manager should have
experience working within collaborative
school-based models of service delivery
and prior experience/equivalent
knowledge of immigrant populations &
acculturation issues. He/she should have
thorough knowledge of community
resources in Montgomery County.

GUIDE Program, Inc. strives to be one of the premier behavioral health, social services, and juvenile justice agencies in the DC-Baltimore regions. Currently, GUIDE is looking for volunteers to assist at its residential programs for people with severe and pervasive mental illnesses to help the residents learn life skills and live more independent lives. The residents are all male and range in age from 13 to 24. There are a wide array of activities volunteers can participate in, depending on personal interest and age of the residents, but some general duties are listed below along with the ages of the clients and locations of the various programs. Transitional Age Youth
Volunteers need to be comfortable working with this population and commit a minimum of two hours a week. The safety of our clients is our number one priority. Since they are a high-risk population, we run a background check that includes references, fingerprints, and Child Protective Services checks. Training will be provided. YSC Mental Health
Counselor (PART-TIME) Qualifications: The YSC Youth & Family Counselor will possess a Master’s degree in a human service field and possess a minimum graduate level license (LGSW, LGSC, LGMFT). He/She must have prior experience working with youth/ families (internship experience considered). This position requires the employee to have reliable means of transportation.
Skills include: bilingual language skills (English/ Korean), an independent & flexible work style, and a team player attitude. He/she must have a desire to work in community-based settings.
